Question
I need a name for a character in my novel?
Shes early twenties, physcially and mentally abused by her mother until she ran away, she never met her father. Shes a drug addict and an alcoholic. For a living she turns to prostution. Shes quite smart, but lonely, cynial, honest, but also extemely vulnerable.Shes , , could be pretty, blonde but under wieght and neglects herself
Answer
I dont think it really matters what the characters name is as long as she is easy to relate to and the reader can have empathybrbrI would research what names were popular in the mid eighties for newborn girls.... names like Chloe, Natalie, Louise, Chelsea were popular but some names seem to fit eras... Edith, Mary, Ann, are very victorian names...brbrWhy dont you call her a nick name that she is known by , I think naming characters for stories, novels etc is quite a personal thingbrbrGood Luck
